Crystal Marie Reed (born February 6, 1985)is an American actress. She is known for her role as Allison Argent in the 2011 MTV‘s show Teen Wolf as well as her role in the 2013 movie Crush with Lucas Till.
Crystal Marie Reed was born in Detroit, Michigan and was raised in Roseville, Michigan. She graduated from Roseville High School in 2003. She has one older brother named Corey and was raised in a conservative Catholic family, though she has also stated that she attended a Baptist church growing up.Reed studied dance from an early age and was dance captain in high school. While living in Detroit, she was an active member of her local community theatre and starred in the musicals Annie, Fiddler on the Roof and Grease. She attended Wayne State University and was a part of the Bachelor of Fine Arts program. She moved to Chicago and appeared in a number of local productions. In December 2008, she moved to Hollywood to pursue a screen career.
Since 2011, she has co-starred as Allison Argent, the female lead of the MTV series Teen Wolf. Before Season 3 of Teen Wolf, Reed wanted to move on from the show, do different things and explore other areas of film creatively. She approached executive producer of the show, Jeff Davis, who supported her decision. Reed left the show in March 2014 in the form of Allison Argent’s death at the end of Season 3.She appeared in the February 23, 2016 episode, “The Maid of Gévaudan” as the first Argent werewolf hunter Marie-Jeanne Valet.
On April 8, 2016, Reed had been cast in an upcoming horror film Incident in a Ghost Land, which will be written and directed by french filmmaker Pascal Laugier. The film follows a mother (played by Mylene Farmer) of two who inherits a house from her aunt. On the first night in the new home she is confronted with murderous intruders and fights for her daughters lives. When the girls suffer this terrible childhood trauma, their disparate personalities diverge even further. Reed is set to portray as Beth, one of the sisters who is now a famous horror author, with a perfect family and life in Los Angeles, while the other sister (played by Anastasia Phillips) can’t cope and loses her mind. The film takes place sixteen years later when the girls reunite at the house and that’s when things get strange. The film will be released in the fall of 2017.
On July 22, 2017, Reed had been cast in the fourth season of Fox television series Gotham where she is set to portray Sofia Falcone, the daughter of Carmine Falcone. Strong, intelligent and calculating, she has run the Falcone operation in the past ten years and is returning to Gotham to help Gordon (Ben McKenzie) take down Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor). The fourth season of Gotham will premier on September 21, 2017.
